Environmental Practices

Windows Doors & More has implemented guiding principles and procedures that improve the quality of life for our clients, employees, communities, and the environment.

We work everyday to develop and share our best strategies for green building and engineering, facilities management, and reducing our environmental impact and carbon footprint.

Since introducing a company-wide recycling program several years ago we have been able to cut our waste by more than 70%. We also buy recycled paper with a high percentage of post-consumer content and minimum bleaching.

We take any of our products that were discontinued, old floor samples, returns or special purchases and give them a second life by either selling them in our Bargain Gallery or by donating them to Habitat for Humanity.

Our energy efficiency program also includes having almost half of our employees telecommute regularly. American workers use 23 billion gallons of gas each year getting to and from work. Even one day a week of telecommuting has a significant impact on the environment.

From recycling to maintaining quality standards like Built Green, LEED, Forestry Stewardship Council, ENERGY STAR, and more to focusing on finding creative, sustainable solutions for current situations, we have many diverse initiatives that will help us grow into a greener business.
